Privacy
This site collects nothing about you, and the software behind it collects nothing about anyone.
This website
No accounts, no logins, no newsletter list, no advertising, no analytics or tracking scripts, and no cookies set by us. Nothing you do here is recorded or passed to anyone. Pages are plain files served over HTTPS.
The software that posts to our Facebook Pages
We run a small application, Blackland Pages, that helps keep the Facebook Pages for these towns current. It does two things, and only these two things:
- It reads publicly available feeds — school district news and calendars, local news outlets, the National Weather Service, the Texas A&M Forest Service burn ban map, and TxDOT road conditions.
- It posts selected items to Facebook Pages that we administer, after a person has chosen each one. Nothing is published automatically.
The application holds permission to publish content to those Pages and nothing else. It does not read messages, does not access follower or visitor information, does not run advertising, and has no access to anyone's personal Facebook account or data. It does not collect information about the people who see or interact with those posts.
What we store
Nothing about you. The application keeps no database of people. It holds only its own credentials for posting, and a short-lived note of which items have already been posted so the same thing is not published twice.
What we share or sell
Nothing. There is no third party receiving data from this site or from the application, because there is no data to send.
Requesting deletion of your data
We hold no personal data, so in the ordinary case there is nothing to delete. If you believe we hold something about you, or you want a post that mentions you removed from one of our Pages, write to [email protected] and say what you are asking for. We will act on it and confirm to you when it is done.
